I'm the director of this indie studio and managing a team of 17 amazing people. In 2024 Doneref has become an established community of video game developers that aims to release ambitious new games on the market soon.
I localized from English (CA) to Italian (IT) for an upcoming game.
I helped the developers improve the game's quality of life by providing feedback and bug reports on the translation system in the game, and by suggesting extra accessibility options to menu navigations.
I was in charge of managing a team of 10 for the Final Project at VFS (Vancouver Film School), and I was also responsible for the game design decisions. During this 6 months experience, I learned and developed more skills than ever before, and I got to know how the industry actually works.
This experience helped me in getting to understand how the industry uses documentation tools, and I was able to get my first professional work experience using Google Sheets, and Google Workplace. I was also in charge of the translation from English (CA) to Italian (IT).
I managed a team of 4 students at VFS (Vancouver Film School). I was mainly involved in team management, but I also got to program some portions of the game we were working on. This experience allowed me to learn the skills needed by a leader and project manager, not only from a technical point of view but also from a human point of view, including many soft skills.
I started my Game Design journey as a self-taught and initially helped people realize their vision through the Fiverr platform. I was involved in the creation of new mechanics, and balances, but also in the creation of new concepts for some customers. This experience has allowed me to learn how to relate to customers, and how to clearly communicate your ideas to benefit the end player.
